There are two ways you can have your soils tested for free with us. 

Soil Testing Public Events on Governors Island

We host a soil testing public event once a month on Governors Island from May to October. You can drop off your samples, walk around the island, come back to get your results with a "mini" workshop on what you can do with your soils.

Soils Labortatory Internship Program

In partnership with Medgar Evers College of CUNY, we offer a paid soils laboratory internship program to students at the college every semester. The interns learn how to test soil samples for heavy metals, nutrients, organic matter, texture, pH and total dissolved solids. 

In January and September, we need soil samples for the interns! If you would like to be contacted before the sample submittion deadline, please complete the form below to be added to our email notification list.
